Gerry’s Bar (Nungwi, Zanzibar) – run by a South African entrepreneur, this beach bar is near a Double Tree Hilton resort, so patrons tend to come from there and elsewhere. Live bands (including jazz and Afrobeat) are regularly booked here, so there’s never a dull moment at this spot. Drinks here are highly recommended, with some of the frostiest beers in Zanzibar served on the premises.
